Snooky Young

I played with Snooky once for a pops concert that Doc Severinsen was doing with the Phoenix Symphony (late 80s?). Doc also brought along Ernie Watts and put a big band together right in the middle of the orchestra. The seating arrangement was a little weird with me sitting right in front of Snooky, and he parted my hair a few times as he was belting out the lead parts. It was a gas listening to Ernie, Snooky and Doc.
